Whenever we help pupils or students, this also benefits their families. We ensure that families benefit from our involvement in the short-, medium- and long-term. In the short-term, we support them financially, by providing study materials or funding. In the medium-term, families hope that their children will secure a regular income and marry well. In the long-term, families will see their children achieve social mobility, thereby accessing more resources and a higher social status.

All in all, we play a significant role in ensuring young people and their families have full access to transnational opportunities. Legislators respond to increased transnationalisation by securing bilateral agreements on taxation, pensions and social policy, and by implementing exchange and training programmes. We draw on these policies and ensure that they are made known and accessible to more members of the population. A basic level of information helps family members to better plan their lives.
