WHO WE ARE

THE INITIATORS

  • We are graduates from German and French universities, we work internationally and our family histories or own life experiences bind us strongly to other countries and regions outside of Europe.
  • We work as communications managers, civil servants, doctors and engineers and have united in transnational associations in order to change the way in which regions including Europe and North Africa relate to one another.
  • It goes without saying that we operate, think and work between Northern Europe and North Africa or other regions, and when it comes to defining our projects and aims, we’re entirely impartial.

OUR COLLEAGUES

  • We identify civil servants and managers who see themselves as “intrapreneurs” in the institutions with which we collaborate. That means that they have the skill and ability to mobilise people and resources and change the status quo. These civil servants and managers become involved with projects alongside their current work and contribute the expertise and resources of their organisation to the association’s projects. We therefore generally conclude contracts with major employers, who give us working hours, transportation and working areas. We also work closely with individuals who have retired early from leadership positions in large companies.
  • Particularly ambitious volunteers work alongside their regular employment as project coordinators. We ensure that project coordinators already have experience of working on civic projects, that they have a strong regional identity, and are well connected in the local area. Regional identity is a particularly critical factor which motivates many volunteers. Local networks enable us to easily mobilise organisational resources.
  • If we reach the limits of our capacities, we commission experts who work with us on an honorary basis. In particular, we draw on the knowledge and skills of experts in communication technologies, personality development and career orientation.

THE ALUMNI

  • Over the course of our projects, the supported individuals acquire skills and knowledge that they can then apply in the association’s projects. Individuals take on an increasing amount of responsibility for the organisation of events, for accompanying and supporting young people, and for increasing external awareness of projects, at international exhibitions or amongst our partners’ boards for example.
